Recruitment Policy
Version 2.0

This is an article to explain Cubelets’ Recruitment Policy.

In a nutshell, we have a limited recruitment policy.

What does this mean exactly?

Before anyone joins the crew, someone from within the crew must have already gotten to know the new person, asserting that they are fun, friendly, love to laugh as much as we do, and have the same goals as us.

Why exactly?

Our aim is that we recruit new crewbies carefully so that as a crew, we can get to know, trust, and guide new friends without losing that sense of camaraderie that we love so much about our current pirates.
*not to be confused with cameraderie

How are we planning to achieve this?

We naturally want to invite mates that we enjoy hanging out with, preferably for more than a day or two :D
So if someone you think is cool wishes to join up with Cubelets, just have them read up on crew info/policies and then ask a SO before you invite them :)

Why do we have this?

This is mostly based on our crew’s structure and philosophy. We have been since the start (and aim to remain) a fairly tight-knit group regardless of our size.
We’ve striven for Cubelets to be somewhere you can log on and play with friends you feel comfortable with.

Cubelets is home to pirates who’ve been around a long time (to say the least), and enjoy helping others with the support of this ever- growing medium of a blog.

So we can all have supa pro skillz togetha. :)

So what do I do exactly? So lost. O.O

Fictional scenario:

Fleet Officer Y runs a pillage.
At the end of the trip, Jobber X asks whether he/she could join as a full time member.

Y should then ask X if they have read the crew page, and also their reason(s) for wanting to join.

If Y feels that this person would be a good fit after the questions are answered, they should bring it up to any Senior Officer(s) detailing the answers, as well as Y’s own views.

If the SO(s) agree then Y can immediately make X a permanent member. An SO should be aware of the new member, and should also record this in the log of ‘new members'.
If no SO(s) or above are online, then Y can make X a permanent member, but Y should still bring it up with a Senior Officer or the Captain after someone of rank logs on, or leave a "welcome X to the crew" crew issue :)

If we work together on this, Cubelets will remain a fun crew for everyone, Vets and Newbies alike :)

Fair winds,
Desonn + Squishat

and the rest of the Cubelets Team
